This year, as in years past, we plan to make this an exciting year to dedicate your philanthropy to the youth and teens of Delaware and Blackford Counties in an important and meaningful manner. Below you will find information contained in our annual IIY brochure (also available for download below), as well as occasional updates with heart-warming stories, quotes and quips from and about our Invest in Youth scholarship recipients; along with event dates, fundraising goals and donor/donation stats. Every day, the Y addresses the most pressing needs in our community by making sure that everyone—regardless of age, income or background—has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. The YMCA OF MUNCIE uses financial gifts to help childrenand families in need participate in programs such as: child care, youth sports, health and wellness, swim lessons, summer camp, teen leadership programs and more – right here in Delaware and Blackford Counties.

We encourage everyone in the community to join our cause. When we all pitch in and help each other, we make a meaningful, enduring impact in the lives of children and families and ultimately, strengthen our community.

A safe place after school. Lessons about teamwork and the chance to try new things. Support from a caring role model. The Y provides children meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.

In communities large and small, we’re there. The Y is a unique gathering place where you’ll find toddlers alongside seniors, families spending quality time together, everybody getting fit and healthy, and neighbors connecting.

when we work together to strengthen community.

Helping people reach their potential is at the heart of what we do. As a leading nonprofit organization in our community, we teach life-changing skills and provide essential programs and support in times of need.

Financial gifts to the Y will help advance programming and services that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. More importantly, gifts to the YMCA of Muncie stay in the community, having a direct impact on residents right here in Delaware and Blackford counties.

$250.00 a grandmother raising her grandchildren can count on 1 week of a safe child care program

$375.00 allows a team of 12 to play in the Y youth basketball league

$500.00 provides a child confidence and lasting friendships at 1 week of camp

$750.00 helps a family join the Y and spend quality time together

$1,000.00 5 teens can develop college-prep skills and do better in school

$3,000.00 addresses critical needs through FREE community events for kids and families
