Kids on the Move

Fitness Class for Kids!

Getting kids involved in exercise and building interest at an early age can have long term benefits for their health. This program will enhance their knowledge of safe and effective movement patterns to prevent risk of injury.

There will be two sessions of this class. The first session will be Kids on the Move Sports, the second will be for kids who maybe are not so interested in sports and just want to be active and exercise.

During this class, kids will have the opportunity to do body weight activities, relay races, obstacle courses, and much more. They will become familiar with structured physical activity and have fun while doing it!

They will also have the opportunity to live out the Y values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

This class is open to those with or without memberships at the Y.

Kids on the Move Sports

Sept 28 – Oct 29

Kids on the move Sports will include learning about 4 different sports, with a new one being each week, and then learning exercises to help improve skills for that sport. The last week (5) will be about team building and leadership skills. The last week (5) will focus on leadership and teambuilding.
